The island of Kayts in Northern Sri Lanka has significant need for improved water supply options. Ecoseal developed a coupled flow and transport models to understand the impact of pumping on the freshwater lens, evaluate seasonal water supply options, and extraction strategies for limiting the impacts of saline groundwater upconing and saltwater intrusion.
